Biography - Jordi Codina

Amancio Ortega Gaona it’s a Spanish businessman. He is the owner of a clothing Company (Zara), that it already has given him 77 thousands of millions of dollars.
He was borne in León the 28 march 1936 in a middle class family, his father (Antonio Ortega Rodríguez) works on the railway and his mother (Josefina Gaona Hernández) stays at home. He studied with his bother but he changed of school three times due the work of his father. When they moved to Galicia, start to work in clothes shops, after work a period he began to produce bathrobes and sell them to the stores with his wife (Rosalía Mera Sandra). In ten years he expanded his company to Europe and they tried to open the first store at 1988 in La Coruña, and during that year they open stores throughout Spain. At 1990 they already had stores in Europa, América, Asia and in North of Africa. He received criticisms for labour exploitation to obtain more benefits.
